The Gauteng North Open concluded at Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club after a competitive 3 days that saw a strong field of 156 players battle it out over the opening rounds.
The championship was played over 36 holes of stroke play, after which the top 65 players and ties qualified for the final two rounds. Unfortunately, a weather delay on the final day resulted in the cancellation of the last 18 holes.
Despite the challenging conditions, the event showcased a high standard of golf, with players demonstrating resilience and determination throughout the week.
Gauteng North Golf Union extends its sincere appreciation to Silver Lakes Golf & Country Estate for their outstanding hospitality and for making their course available for the championship. The course conditions and support from the club played a significant role in the success of the event.
A special thank you is also extended to all the players for their continued support and participation.
Congratulations to Charl Barnard on successfully defending his Gauteng North Open title — a superb achievement.
