Like all matriculants, academic pressure has forced the 18-year-old Menlo Park learner to put her golfing aspirations on the back burner this season, but Du Toit pushed the books aside for the North West Open and showed her class when she claimed victory in the North West Open on Sunday. Potchefstroom’s Aubrey Beckley raised his fist and pumped the air as he boxed in a 10-footer for a birdie and victory in the Liberty Gauteng North Open at Wingate Park Country Club on Sunday.
His eighth birdie in the final round presented Beckley with a final round score of a seven-under-par 65 and served up a one stroke victory on 14 under 274 over Malcolm Mitchell from Kloof Country Club, who led the second and third rounds. Continue reading
NELSPRUIT, 16 December 2016 – Gauteng North spoiled Central Gauteng’s party a tiny bit, but in the end the final round loss did nothing to dampen the excitement as the youthful side celebrated victory in the South African U-19 Inter-Provincial on Friday.
